4514Hi guys, After a long and not easy decision toing and froing over the past year, I have made the decision to hang up my Funeral Director’s Blacks for the last time! There is no one who know the old sayings better than Jan & I “We just don’t know what is around that corner” & “Tomorrow is never guaranteed ” so we have made the decision to retire early and enjoy the rest of our retired lives together. I truly hope we will have our health, and plenty of fulfilled years to enjoy all the fun & adventures we are planning on having, then probably end up in a wee nursing home somewhere together 😆Not too soon we hope lol . I have had many years of doing the job I love, and never looked back for one minute. I have had the most wonderful honour anyone can ask for by serving the community in their time if need, what a great privilege I was given. All the families I have served with love, dignity and respect and also helping them through their grief, has truly been a wonderful honour to me and I mean that from the bottom

"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members"101🌟🌟🌟 Appreciation Post 🌟🌟🌟 We would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate an incredible individual who has faced life’s challenges with unbelievable strength—our friend, colleague, and so much more, Christiane Henderson It takes a certain type of person to be a Funeral Director—a phrase we hear so often, and one that is so true. To be a good Funeral Director requires immense strength and resilience. To be a great one means embracing the responsibility, the duty, and the privilege of guiding others through their most difficult moments, even when the times are tough. No one embodies this more than Christiane. This year has been far from easy for Christiane, with the heartbreaking loss of her dad, Bill—her hero. Returning to work after such grief is no small feat, especially in the line of work we do. Yet Christiane returned with compassion and dedication, providing exceptional care to those we serve. Christiane often says, ‘I’m flying by the seat of my pants,’ but what she may not realise is that she is the pilot, navigating this journey with poise and carrying herself and those closest to her with unparalleled grace. Amidst it all, Christiane has also managed to

112Please feel free to share! Hi guys, Well, that is us out with our begging bowls again! I just cannot believe where the time goes ( the years are just flying in) Easter is just around the corner, and as you are all aware, we try our hardest to support the vulnerable and underprivileged kids in our local area, who, through no fault of their own, may not have the joy and excitement of Easter that other kids do! Again this year, may we ask, only if you can, to pop an extra Easter Egg in your shopping over the next few weeks, and help support us to give the kids a good Easter. We will be supporting as usual this year our local charities, the Gallatown Gala & Community Group, Nourish Support Centre, and the Fife Women’s Aid. Thank you all so so much in advance, for your generosity and kindness, it means so much to Jan, Christiane, Ally and I. Please hand in any donations to our office at 142n St Clair Street, KIRKCALDY KY1 2BZ Alternatively, we will be more than happy to come and collect your donation if that is easier for you. They are deeply grateful to all those who donated to their chosen charity. Initially, the family was unsure of how to allocate the donations, but Lynne soon remembered Jim’s time in Ward 53 at the Victoria Hospital and how he had been bored without a TV… so with the £392 raised, Lynne went to Currys and purchased three new TVs for the ward! The ward staff were ecstatic with the donation, which in turn made Lynne and the family feel very proud that the celebration of Jim’s wonderful life also contributed to making patients’ time on Ward 53 a little more comfortable.
The family would also like to thank Father Brian Gowans for his comforting service and Ian Johnston Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism shown throughout.
